For other people looking for these things:
Trailex trailers makes aluminum trailers for kayaks etc that weigh less than a hundred pounds. Despite their 8 inch wheels, they come recommended by folks on other forums, and prices start at about 850 bucks. They are available from Cabelas and Kayak Fishing Supplies.
Cabelas sells another one with 16 inch wheels for about 2K. chip

Look into Seitech racks for basic trailers. Mine carries 4 kayaks or windsurfers easily and is a square aluminum tubing rack above the trailer base.
