I looking for spinning reel that can handle schoolie bluefin tuna to match with a Shimano Trevala 50-100lb spinning rod. A few people have suggested the Spheros 14000, but a few others have questioned whether the drag on a Spheros would hold up on a decent fish. Any recommendations for a reasonably priced reel ($200-400 range) that would work well and hold up over time? Thanks in advance for your input.

Either the Saragosa 14-18000F or our Shimano STL6000FA for $471.99 (thats 20% off)!!
You have go for quality when dealing with those kinds of fish...

I know this is an old post but have similar question. The best reel for jiging schoolie BFT.
Shimano makes so many similar style reels. For a newbie it is confusing. I'm sure you old salts understand the differences much better than I.
What makes Stella worth $500 more than similar Shim reels.
Any advice is appreciated
