Mine is an outback and the wife's is a revolution. The revolution was bought from a fellow THTer (realestateman).....Thanks Gary.

We launched out of Miami Beach yesterday and spent 3 hours peddling, 4 hours today. These kayaks are now our boat of choice. They are fast, maneuverable and stable. We should have bought them years ago. Hopefully we will be able to walk tomorrow.

I wanted to post up some pics but there is no attachment section. Am I missing something????

Hi Steve,

Congrats on the new kayaks. I am glad you have great geography to paddle around.

How different are the outback and revo models in terms of ride etc.?

Hi Gary

The outback is much wider than the revolution, more hull slap and heavier. I bought it for 1 reason....stability. I like to stand in a kayak and cast on the flats of Biscayne bay and the keys. I also load it down with a lot of gear, so it fit my needs better. We have about 15 hours use in 2 weeks and many miles. Neither of us is complaining of wear and tear on our bodies.....yet.

I think that the revolution is a better all around kayak. Faster, lighter, easier to manage in and out of the vehicle. Do yourself a favor and buy the wheels. They will save your back. Hope this helps.

Once I get back in shape we'll all launch from my house in Ft Laud some day or meet up at John Lloyd Park.

How bad did your wife leave you in her wake with the Revo?

We have 2 Revo's ourselves. I used to have the outback but I found it too luggy for my needs.

Have fun!

Here is a picture of our Outbacks before I traded them in.
