Going down to Cary, NC on business. There anything to do with fishing in that area?? It's inland so there's no saltwater, but is there any Bass Pro's or Cabelas near by??

Never heard of it. Are you sure they even exist on GPS? :trout:

No Bass Pro or Cabela, actually the whole Raleigh/Durham area is very poor for shopping for fishing gear.

Nearest fishing would be Jordan lake, known for crappie, bass, and striper. Other area lakes are Sherron Harris (power plant lake), Falls of the Neuse, and if you were willing to drive about an hour you could be at Kerr Lake (Buggs Island) on the NC/VA border. Some smaller rivers/streams in Durham are starting to get the white bass run right now, but does not last too long.

About 1.5 hours or so away you could go to Weldon, NC, shad run on the Roanoke River is starting to finish up and the striped bass run is just beginning there and usually runs through April.

If you really had time, you could be at the coast in about 3 hours or less.
