It's sorta humorous that the news agencies report the 80,000 layoffs are a result of recession "fears". WTF. Someone splain to these idiots that layoffs occur because of lack of profits, not because of "fears". Could it be $4 a gallon fuel, under reported rampant inflation, and cost of goods and products those businesses use to make a profit going through the roof. Like, you know, actual real profit reducing stuff causes layoffs, seems to me.

Even if I know I'm gonna be in the red, the last thing to go is the employees. Where do they get these headlines from. You drop people to keep from going bankrupt, sort of like a last resort. People aren't like cattle that you get rid of just in case. Maybe the writer of the headline's boss should fire him because he's "afraid there might be a recession". Good lord.

Rupert Merdoch is a member of CFR & Bilderberg. They puke up whatever they want the idiots to eat.

Massive Layoffs
Bank Failures
Foreclosures
Many middle management out of work

Hummm... if my history serves me right, I think I read about this happening once before.

I looked and seems like the headline writers boss straightened him out on the wording. It changed after my post.

You remember back in the 60s and 70s we used to read about the Soviet Union's internal propaganda machine lying to their citizens to control them? You know - all the "everything is glorious in the homeland, production is up, bounty is everywhere" kinds of messages. And we would sit back and think how fortunate we are to live in a free and open society, where that could never happen.

Well, those days are long gone. Or maybe I got older and a little more world-wise to realize what is going on, and we were always the same as the Soviet Union in terms of domestic disclosure.

Google "managed news" and Kennedy, and you should find some good articles and perhaps videos of him being cross-examined on the practice. There are virtually no candid and objective news outlets today, and the internet is no exception.

The practice needs a name. I guess "The Sheep Factor" fits pretty well.
