For new years I figured id try agin to get off this chewing tobaco so I blew $130 on Chantix since I heard it worked. Well it is a very powerful drug. It made me tired and disoriented to the point I was afraid to drive a car. I couldnt think straight and didnt know what was going on around me for a couple weeks. So I stopped it and gor me a nice fresh can of Kodiak green. Now this morning Im hearing guys are commiting suicide on it.

I suppose you heard this from the ever trusting media??? I have only heard of one such incident. Weird dreams are another side effect. Chantix is the best, in my opinion.

Now what would be the difference in a fresh can of "kodiak greeen" and commiting sucide ?????????????

Just picking.

I been on the drug and for 2 weeks dropped my smoking from 2 packs a day down to bumming 2-3 cigs a day and hadn't had compenhagon since day one. Yes I really liked nicotine. maybe you need to reduce your the qty.?

I have high hopes it works on the wife. After 30 years of being around it, you'd think I'd be used to it. No.

I took it for two months and it worked great for me. I have not smoked since Nov. 15th. The dreams were wild though.

Only one suicide that you know of. Very comforting. :o

Of course, on the bright side, I guess that person did successfully quit smoking!!

And a marked propensity to misspell words.

Oh, so now you want me to think I'm becoming delusional. What do you own stock in the tobacco industry?

Well, for what it's worth, I don't think the guy was "OK" anyway. I think it was someone famous, too.

Wonder if these symptoms you describe could be from nicotine withdrawal, not drug side effects?

Not a doctor and have no personal experience. Just wondering.

Chantix is a smoking cessation medicine. It is used together with behavior modification and counseling support to help you stop smoking.

Before Chantix, I chewed Nicorette for several months. I almost choked 3 times and bit my tongue more times than I care to remember. Chantix rules!!

Man,there is a drug for everything,it's crazy. The safest way is the old fashioned way, cold turkey. And no,I have never been a smoker.

I continued to use tobaco while on the chantix. The idea at least my doc said is you gradualy cut back not go cold turkey. Maybe its that I have a tremendous energy level every day and this stuff had me just wanting to sit around with the tv clicker in my hands in a daze. I guess if you are always in a daze you dont notice ant difference. :Q
