Anybody been to the BR or Rise lately? With this warm weather I've been wanting to go, but the forecast for this weekend looks a little bouncy.

Interested in seeing if the YFT or wahoo are still around?

Thanks

I heard of a few wahoo and a pile of blackfins out there. No YFT and not many wahoo but all the blackfins you wanted in the 30 fathom range.

Garmin Bluecharts ................... G2 Offshore Bathy. The program on my computer is Garmins Map Source. Great planning and after fishing analysis tool.

BEARCAT 2 caught a 98 lbs and a 85 lbs wahoo at the Atlas tanker Tuesday on live bait fishing for Kings 20 lb test line on an old speedmaster reel.

Thanks GameOver.

The Atlas Tanker is known for it's big kings and wahoo in the late, late fall. Was out there 3 years agoinlate Dec and caught3 kings,2 in the40's, and one 52. It's about a 30 mile run (oneway from Beaufort Inlet using the Slot. 15 miles from BI to the West Slot, about 1.8 miles across the Shoals, and then about 090 magnetic 15 miles from the East Slot to the tanker. The weather can really get nasty on the East Side this time of year but it's worth the run if you get a good day.

Here's the chart view. ;cool;
