I am going up to Okrakoke the second weekend of December for our 3rd anniversary. My wife, who is awesome is all about me taking a couple of rods if I want to. She wants to drive on the beach anyway. I am just looking for a couple of suggestions as it has been years since I have been up that way. I was thinking about taking a 10'6" and a Mirror Lure Rod but just don't know if it would be worth it. Are the access ramps and beaches there still in good shape? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advace.

This is the place to find out all you want about Ocracoke.
I'm assuming we're talking about the same place as the spelling is different. Dec. could be time for stripers on the beach

Yeah, we are talking about the same place. I was bouncing back and forth with my 2 year old when I posted that.

Thanks

Make sure you got 4 wheel drive and DO NOT leave the rods and reels at home. Might be a great fishing trip if the weather is right. Good luck, have fun.
