I was anchored about 1/2 mile off Sugarload Island during the fireworks celebration this week. We all got more excitement than usual when the island was set ablaze by the fireworks. It's really been dry. Here's a link to my YouTube video I uploaded. Hope the link works. Was anyone else out there?

We were there too....it was pretty scary! Nice footage, esp considering you were on a rocking boat! We were about the same place as you, it appears on a catamaran charter (we were on vaca from CT)....we were initially very close in the channel between sugarloaf island and the coast, but we moved...we were glad for that b/c we would've been smoked out, big time! Glad nobody was hurt (far as I can tell from news online), and that it was contained to 2 acres.
