If someone twisted my arm just a little, I would tuna fish out of OI either day, maybe both. The weather looks good. The bite is hot. All my rigs are made. None of my usual buddies can go. My boat is in Manteo. All I have to do is ice it down, top off the tanks and head out.

I'm looking for any local guys who may want to run out with me. I could take as many as three. Four people fish well on my boat. I would have to make a decision by noon Thursday, July 5th. Please respond here or PM me and we can discuss.

Thanks,
Alan

I could probally run down on sat. I'm a 100 miles away, but I'll make the trip. I'm experienced offshore, just not with tuna. Would love to try it out

Alan, I am heading out of either OI or Hatteras on Saturday with a friend, but if you need someone to go fishing with you in the future let me know. I am trying to learn everything I can until I can afford a boat. Good luck!

Tom Bare,
Sorry about that.. Seems like the marlin bite is way down yonder from Oregon Inlet. Like the 100-200 line off Hatteras Inlet. Too far for me...Forecast looks good for Saturday and looks like warm water SE of Point offshore, so we might look at that...
Regards and Good Luck,
dw

Correction.. I will be turning Right out of the Inlet..
Sorry about that...
Good luck..

Dave, look us up when you get out there. I have never run from Broad Creek so I will likely have to go the usual route from the fishing center.

I am planning on starting just up the beach from the tuna hole and working north outside of 100 fathoms. There is so much cloud cover, it's hard to get a good SST reading right now but that has been a consistent area.

Later,
Alan

I'm envious, I wanna go again.

With a forecasted SW wind, I would start north of the tuna hole and troll towards the point. We ended the day tuesday with the rest of the fleet about half way between the TH and the point, holding over marks with the commercial grrensticks in 800 ft of water waiting on the afternoon bite. No go.

Of course, it's different every day out there.

Good luck guys.
