Emerald Isle, NC
A Sanford man identified as Steve (aka Hot Spot) was brutally attacked by the Tackle Monkey while shopping at The Reel Outdoors located on Emerald Isle.
The Sanford man was reportedly looking for a couple inshore spinning combos when the tackle monkey jumped him.
"I had already done my research and knew what I wanted," said Steve. "I am a big Penn fan and wanted a couple good trout/red combos. I had picked out the Penn 430 SSGs on Penn Slammer 7 foot 6-12 pound rods."
Witnesses say Steve's eye glassed over from the amount of tackle available in the store. "He was speaking in tongues," said friend Herbert. "I knew it was gonna be bad."
Steve purchased 4 combos, 2 Penn 430s on Slammer rods and 2 Penn 440s on Slammer rods. While the reels were being spooled, Steve paced back and forth while muttering, "SWEET" repeatedly.
After the attacked was over, Steve was all smiles as the store had given him a GREAT price and wonderful SERVICE.
Steve went back to Goose Creek and proceeded to catch 12 large mouth bass with the new combos. His wife reported that he was "Acting like a 12 year old at Christmas."
