OK guys I have a chance to use a 28 foot slip at CB for the rest of the year free of charge. It is located off of canal drive. I fish and have always fished the other side of the shoals. But this is a chance to keep my boat in the water versus pulling it every time. I am looking for someone that runs the inlet that can tell me if it is still functional. I had heard they were having problems getting funds to get it dredged. I would be running a 23 ft boat. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If your not comfortable make the run to masonboro, worth it for a free slip!

I took my 18' Pulse out a week ago last Monday and had no problem...that being said it was slack tide and was with an experienced capt. I've seen it pretty bad but if you stay in the channel you should be fine... :tht_rulez:

Thanks scott. Yeah my Aunt has a condo with a slip that nobody has used in 5 years. She told me all I had to do is rig the new poles and it was mine.

The Corp. of Engineers started dredging the inlet at CB on Wednesday. Check out the video on www.wect.com.

Are they finished dredging Carolina Beach Inlet yet?
We're going down tomorrow and was wondering if anyone had an update.

Any channel surveys available?

Scott,

Capt Dave just posted an update on the Inlet yesterday at FryingPanTower.com.

Thanks Spot!

Just logged in and checked it out...that is exactly what I needed! I need to read the forums more rather than just use the Imap and Reefcast!

Capt Dave rocks!

The information Capt Dave's provides is unreel, pun intended!
