Hi there just wondering if anyone has used the m260 with the Furuno 585 I currently have the 600w transom mount tranducer that gets quite a bit of interference and also wanted the extra power is it worth the cost and how much better are the redings

I went from a 582l with a transom mount ducer to the 585 and m260.The difference to me is night and day.The 585 has a larger screen that shows great detail and is very easy to read in the sun.Depending on what unit you have now just upgrading the transducer would be a big improvement. When we are out at the rigs jigging for blackfin you can watch your jig fall on the screen which is pretty nice.I could never get my other set up to read that well.It is about as good a combination as you can get short of commercial equipment in my opinion.

I have this exact setup, its awsome I have marked billfish on bait schools in 100 fathoms of water. Clarity is sensational, menus easy to use, would reccomend it.
