I see no mention of it in the owners manual. The 3210 is supposed to mark an underwater waypoint from the sonar screen. I say supposed to because mine doesn't work correctly. Garmin has been working to fix the problem with no success yet. I would like to move up to the 4212 if it has this feature and it actually works.

I have a 3010 and have used this feature. I went through the 4212 manual and I don't see it either. I haven't even seen where there is a cursor on the sonar screen which you would need. I'll be curious to see how this turns out.

There is no way to mark a waypoint on the Sonar page.

I was talking with Jim at BOE the other day about the owners manuals that come with the new Garmin units. There is alot that is not covered in those manauls especially when it comes to sub menus. When you choose lets say the XM Menu Pageit opens into the XM Music Selections display. To get to the XM functioanlity control menu you have to press the Menu Button on the face of the unit. That takes you to completely different XM Menu that controls Volume, Favorites, and Groups. The same can be said for many other Menu Selections listed under Home, Information, System. I just stumbled onto these functions by accident because it is not annotated anywhere in the owners maunal.
Best advice I can give is when you get into a primary control menu press the Menu Button on the face of the unit and you'll probably find another submenu that is not covered in the owners manual.
Think I just figured it out from the Sonar Page you would press the Mark Button on the face of the 4212 .... that activates the cursor function on the sonar sreen.Next move the cursor to the position on the sonar screen you want to mark using the rocker multi directionalbutton. Once at the correct position on the screen press the Select Button on the face of the 4212. That is not annotated anywhere in the manaul. ;?
