Getting ready to install c80 package with sounder and gps. Have twin I/Os with dual batteries-one battery for each engine and a battery crossover switch if one of the batteries loses a charge. The electronics I am replacing were run off of one of the batteries. I read on some previous thread some ideas regarding isolating one battery exclusively for electronics. I have access to a third battery if necessary. Any help would be appreciated.

You could throw in a third battery, run the electronics directly to it. and then put a battery isolator on on the other two batteries so that one engine could charge both the electronics and starting battery.
Kind of like something in this diagram.
This should work for you. You would not need to mess with the transfer switch or anything. Just pick one engine and battery, install the isolator, and connect the electronics to the third battery. No problem.
If the electronics run down the battery (it would take a long time with only a GPS and depth sounder running) then your engine batteries will not be effected at all. Once you started the engine connected to the isolator, the electronics should kick right back on and the battery will recharge. No additional switches will be needed.
