I want to put my captains chair on a stainless frame that will accommodate a cooler underneath. Something like the one in this picture. I can't find then anywhere online. Anyone seen one?

That's pretty cool you should be able to find a custom shop to build that. What kind of boat is it on?

The one in the picture is from a trophy. It seems like a great idea. I could mount my swivel pedestal seat on the front of the frame, probably make a cushion on the rear of it for an extra seat, and have a removable cooler underneath.

Just curious as to why you would want to do this instead of just having the helm seat on a pedestal and having the cooler lose behind it. It doesn't seem to me that you gain anything and you put another impediment to free movement around your cockpit.

It saves room because the cooler is secured under the drivers seat and I get an extra seat behind the seat. I don't like coolers loose on deck.
