Dear John,
I need 2 light trolling rod/reel combos. I have pretty much settled on the Okuma TG-10L reel. However I am having a problem with the rods. I wanted to get the Chaos NWPT 15-30 but they said they need 5 weeks to build them. Can't wait that long, I need them by May 16th. I want the rods for light trolling for fish that are 1-4lb 98% of the time and max 8-10lb (VERY rarely). I want a fast taper but sensitive rod that can give me a nice feel when reeling in these small fish without the rod bending in half. Also, I need an aluminum reel seat and 6 to 6.5' length. I was looking at the Star Handcrafted line (again), specifically the B12/20HC and B16/30HCF. I am afraid that the 12/20 is too "limp" and the 16/30 too "stiff". Which of the two do you recommend? Any others (any brand) that meet the requirements?
