Has anyone fished in Turks & Caicos? Heading there in February, any info is appreciated especially a good captain and thoughts on the quality of fishing that time of year. Thanks

The fishing on the wall is terrific, especially the tuna. Don't fish the Gwendolyn, it does not have a good captain, but there are others that are much better, but don't recall the names.
My offshore experience was disappointing, and I think I fished the Gwendolyn but can't remember. On the other hand the inshore fishing was as good as it gets. I 'chartered' a panga from a local guy on the beach, about $100, and he slow trolled over the reef while i held 15 to 20 pound class spinning gear ( no rod holders), using rapalas. We crushed the grouper, cuda, etc. Big slobs most of them. When the grouper fouled me in the rocks this guy would put on the swim mask and fins and jump in to rescue the gear. Also brought up some huge conch for dinner. Bring tackle, he had nothing you would want to use and primarily was a bait fisherman. The trolled stuff was deadly and I left him some but that was several years ago. I think where he took me was off limits to tourists but was 'cool mon if you were wit im'. Hard strikes Jon
