Default Yamaha 115 four stroke NEED HELP!!

The motor was running good today. Was idling around a bridge fishing, no problems. When I went to give it gas to fish another bridge the motor started to shutter like it was hitting the bottom or something. Lifted the motor no rope in the prop was in 30 foot of water. Idled for a mile tried it again same deal. No horn or light. Motor has 160 hours on it. Use seatron ethanol stuff all the time. Got back to the hill, started right up on the hose, Could rev the enigne with no hint of a miss or skip. Any help would be great. Im off all week and want to fish

Try posting this in the vendor forum under Shipyard Island Marine. Andy over there is great with these motors and can probably help...I own two of those motors and have never experienced that problem...good luck!

Your problem could be anything from a plugged filter to a low voltage problem. Find an experianced Yamaha tech and save yourself time and money. Using fuel system additives does not mean you can skip your yearly filter changes. All the preventive maintenance items have a hour and calendar spec. Low hour engines need to use the calendar.
