2000 FICHT 225 won't keep idle
I hadn't used the boat in just about 2 weeks.
it started right up but would stall when put in gear or if I tried to rev it. After about 6-7 minutes, maybe ten of revving it in neutral it idled fine and I left the dock.
Ran about 5 miles and it ran normally.
Fished for about 2 hours and when i went to leave it acted the same as when I first started it for the day, but did not take as long to hold idle.
It ran fine all the way home.
Fuel filters, water separator and spark plugs were done less than ten hours or so ago.
Was this just a case of not having run it enough (usually run it several times a week during the season) or is there something like a choke on a carbed motor that is not working when the engine is cold?
