Default garbage in tank

I recently purchased a boat that had been sitting up for close to 2 years. Before taking it out, I made sure everything worked properly, drained what little fuel there was in the 175 gallon tank, put new fresh gas in it and took it for a run. After a few minutes the fuel filter was clogged with garbage. I tried draining it again but got nothing out of it. What I am getting out of the tank is fairly large debris when we take the boat out, but I can't get anything to come out when I drain it. Do you have any suggestions for cleaning out the tank. There is no debris getting to the 2nd filter located before the carbs so i'm confident the filter/seperator is catching everything, but we have clogged 4 filters so far and I can't afford to keep buying filters for it until the problem stops. Thanks.

Boat is a 1997 Proline 251 Express with 175 gallon tank and Single Mariner 225 Outboard

You will need to have the tank professionally cleaned. Check with a service provider in your area to see who they use. This is not an inexpensive procedure because of the hazardous waste disposal.
