The engine driven oil pump has no electrical connection to cause the engine to go into RPM reduction. The only part that can cause this is the sensor in the engine mounted oil tank. Check the oil level in the engine tank. If it is low try to fill it using the switch mounted near the tank. If it doesnt fill, and there is oil in the remote tank, listen for the pump in the remote tank. Low oil in the remote tank will will no transfer except with the manual switch. The pump running and no transfer could mean a plugged filter. The pump not running could mean a pump or tank sensor problem. I dont recommend disabling the system because of the possibility of runnig without oil. Find a tech who understands the system and the fix should be easy.
