Default Water shooting out of Flush Port/Connector on 275 Verado

I have 2006 Verado 275 with water coming out the Flush Port/Connector when the engine is running. There is a steady stream of water shooting from the starboard side -which is normal. The engine runs fine. The other engine doesn't do have the problem. Engine doesnt overheat. Is this a major problem or an easy fix?

thanks

I think the flush port connector has a check valve in it that may be stuck open.
