Default Electrical Connections

Should I or could I use a diaelectric grease on connections such as hot wire going to coils on 1988 225 Johnson? They seem to get corroded alot. Also what about electrical plugs and such? If not the grease what do you recomend? Thanks

True diaelectric grease should not be a problem. Be sure to throughly clean the contacts before applying the grease. Too much grease will cause dirt to collect which can short out components. Wipe off excess.
It is OK to carefully rinse off the powerhead. Keep the water away from air inlets.
