Default yamaha fuel management question

I have a twin set up yesterday I noticed that the fuel consumpson looked to be about half the normal amount I hope the sender is clogged or has come disconnected I also noticed a "S" showed up on the gauge and don't think I have seen it before. What is the S and what else can I try to locate the problem

The fuel management gauge will show port, starboard, or both. The S indicates you are looking a fuel consumption for the starboard engine.
