yamaha 250 4 stroke starting problems - The Hull Truth

my 2007 yamaha 250 4 stroke cranks fine but will not start' brought it to factory mechanic. told me battery connections were loose. He replaced wing nuts with locking nuts. told me come and get the boat. I bring the boat home same problem. next day I crank it over motor starts right up. fuel filters were changed also. any help would be appreciated

This problem is hard to troubleshoot from a distance. I would start by checking voltage at the engine with a digital meter while cranking. If the voltage is below 10.5 volts the engine will not start. If you don't have enough voltage next step is to find out why. Start at the batteries and work to the engine to see where loss is.
