Default Aftermarket Ignition Switch on Yamaha?

This is actually for a 2 stroke 50HP Yamaha inboard jet drive, but I think the pricipals are the same. Is it o.k. to go aftermarket on the ignition switch? If so, how many poles and how should it be wired. The old switch has Red, Black, Yellow, White and Brown.

Send a message via Yahoo to A1 Outboard
Default

Red- 12 volt positive
Black- Ground
White- Stop circuit
Yellow- Key on power
Brown- Start

Key switch must be outboard switch that grounds White wire to stop engine. Stern drive ignition switch will not work.
