96' Yami 250 VX carb starting problem - The Hull Truth

I'm unable to get it started, and have to turn the by-pass fuel valve that I guess

bypasses the micro computer. Then it will start, and when I close the valve it restarts fine.... but it left me stranded last weekend. Any ideas why I would need to bypass to get her started?

The fuel bypass valve is manual enrichment for cold starting. This valve has nothing to do with the computer system. When the system is operating normally the computer looks at engine tempature and enriches the engine with a valve that is located on each carb. There is not a lot of techs that have experiance working on this system so you will have to shop around to find one to troubleshoot and repair.
