Default '99 Yam vmax...fuel-water seperator port side engine...

...the clear plastic cup with the orange ring inside (floats up if there is water in the fuel)

My question/problem: Is there supposed to be a gasket at the top of the plastic cup...despite tightening the black ring the plastic cup wiggles and fuel comes out the top when I pump the priming bulb.

(does this make sense?)

Thanks

...found the answer.
There is a rubber O ring...it had fallen off at some point and I found it setting in the pan at bottom of engine!
