Default temp alarm

I've got twin Yamaha F225's. The starboard motor gets an overheat alarm after a little while of slow trolling. The motors have 595 hours on them now and both water pumps were changed at 500 hours. Both motors dont seem to be pumping enough water out the side like I see on newer motors. also i've tried any debris in the water lines. any help would be great.

thanks

It sounds like you are not getting enough cooling water tot eh engine. Did they also replace the water pump housings? They are not included in the water pump kit. Check the fittings at the top of the housing.

Some F200-225 engines have had corrosion problems with the exhaust adapter. Have your Yamaha dealer check for this problem, it may be covered by warranty.
