water pressure out of pee hole low - The Hull Truth

I tried searching for this thread, I remember seeing it before couldn't find it so sorry about the repeat, here's the deal, I have twin 1999 200hp sws yammys and I notice starboard motor isn't peeing as strong as port motor at idle or around 2000rpm,the water pumps and t stats are on their 2nd season,the motor is not overheating, when I flush the motors with the hose connector the stream does not shoot as far as the port?? blockage?

I would remove and clean out the poppet valve assembly that is located in the aft lower stb. side of the block. It is held in place with 2 screws and has about a 1" hose attached to it. Check the thermostats too making sure they are not corroded or stuck open with debris. Even though the other motor is fine, might as well check it out also.

Don't forget to inspect the water pumps also. Don't just replace the impeller, put in the factory kit because you are sure to have grooves in the plate and the cup from sand, etc.
