Default Ventilation question

If my anode above the prop were missing or loose would that cause ventilation?

Possibly because the exhaust would come out the open area just above the prop blades. You should get a new one put on right away as it is both the trim tab and the scoop to pickup collong water for the exhaust gases and to cool the rubber prop hub to prevent it from melting and spinning loose.
