Re: 99 225 Ficht It sounds like you've been running shallow and picked up mud, sand, shell, etc. and it lodged in the VST cooling passageway. Don't use compressed air as it can blow the oring seals and water will get into the fuel system and damage the expensive injectors.
Use a ty-wrap end to push into the hose fittings and carefully blow with your lungs through the VST at both inlet and outlet. Work back and forth and usually the packed sand, or mud will start to break up and come out. Be patient and work slowly.
