Default yammie throttle friction
The throttle control keeps creeping on my f225 and I dont see a friction adjust screw. Does anyone know how to adjust it?

I too would like to get a reply on this one. My brother has a 225 yammy and it doing the same thing, i have looked for a friction adjustment screw but nothing. Please help!

If you have the binnacle type control box, also called top mount or 704, you can remove the 4 phillips screws and remove the plastic cover. on the back side facing aft is a slotted screw head that you can turn clockwise to tighten up the throttle friction.

Thanks I will take a look. cause its a pain in but holding the lever all the time.

i have a 1999 200 carbed merc with the same problem not a binnacle type control box, it has a quicksilver side mount control..
