Good going out went to a harbor and then when I powered back up she planed out like normal, but then cut back power. I could only get 4500 rpm, when I normally get 5500. Also flow meter at 22 gph at wot and performance of 4500 rpm only.
Back into home harbor, goosed it a few times, not a lot of power and some surging in and out.
very smooth at 1000 rpm and idle.
rough at 1500 rpms
Any ideas?
Did plugs 6 hours ago.
Now at 652 hours.
I am thinking fuel separator b4 mechanic call.
Thanks in advance.

Well the separator had nothing but gas in it. I have never seen water or junk.
Pulled the cowl off and the water cooling hose on the top of the computer had popped off and was apparently spraying water everywhere. It must have gotten the ignition wires all wet.
It fired up but ran poorly like yesterday. I stayed at the dock, revved it then put it in gear up to 1500 rpms, ran poorly at first them blew some smoke and smoothed out.
I took it out and ran the sh!t out of it and everything was fine.
The wires must have gotten wet and it was not running on all cylinders.
The last time I had the mechanic help me out for an overheating computer, the cooling hose was clogged. He must not have put a zip ty back on it.
It has 2 now.
Easy fix, this time.
thanks again.

Pull the plugs an inspect one at a time. A 1000 rpm loss is usually 1 cylinder not firing. Since fuel consumption is the same, most likely a plug and not an injector.
Of course there may be other problems, but most have to be checked out by computer, fuel pressure reading, etc.
