Default 2003 225 optimax master power relay shorting

Hello, I have a 26 Sea Vee with 2003 twin 225 optimax motors. Power completely shut off to motor while under way. Brought to local mercury platinum specialist mechanic 3 times in 3 weeks with same problem. they keep replacing the master power relay which is shorting out but not blowing the fuse connected to it. They replaced the starter on the one motor that went, that worked fine yesterday except now the same problem is happening with the other motor. Mechanic says he doesn't know whats wrong and thinks it's my boat. Any advice would be appreciated!
