Re: Help with my Evinrude Please!!! Not only check the oil return line for kinking or being squashed, but has the oil tank been worked on or replaced recently? An older tank can be retrofitted with a return oil fitting and sometimes the installer forgets to drill the hole thru the tank for oil to flow. The return line is then "stopped up" and the oil pressure builds up avbove 60psi and flow through the injector, flooding the motor with lube.
Other common areas for the return line to get kinked or smashed is thru the front of the motor cover under the clamp and where the hose goes through the transom well of the boat.
Let us know what you find out.
