I have been offered a used boat with a 2000 Honda 4-stroke, 75 hp. I had a compression test done. All four cylinders came back with about 100 psi. The owner claims the motor has about 350 hours on it, but the hour meter is broken. Is the 100 psi within acceptable limits? The motor purrs like a kitten.
What about the hour meter being broken, is that alarming?

Just in case you’re interested, the boat is an 1860p Sea Ark, aluminum boat rigged out for duck hunting. Trolling motor, nice fish/depth finder, gun and storage boxes, gal.trailer. The guy wants 8k for the rig.

The 100 reading is about right and the good thing is they are all about the same.....Mike
