Need help to identify Johnson Motor - The Hull Truth

I bought a boat this afternoon and it came with a 8hp Johnson 2 stroke motor.
Now the problem that I have is that the guy I bought it off had no idea of the model of the motoer or any other informatin on it.
He told me that it is about a 1992 motor.
All I have is the serial number of the motor.
I was wondering if anyone can help me identify the motor.
The motor serial number is: H9366874
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We actually need the model number to find out exactly what you have, it is located on the serial number plate. The serial number you posted is not a valid number.

The 8hp was a good motor, it was built in the OMC Hong Kong plant.

When I get home and a bit of time I will try and find the model number.
