Re: 93 Johnson 90 HP I'm not sure what you mean by "green grease" but most likely it is an emulsion from the water, unburned fuel and oil, and carbon from the exhaust pipe that slowly dripped down and out the prop and gearcase opening. Most of the time it is a black or dark grey color.
It is common when the motor does not get run hard enough to burn out the excess oil and usually occurs after prolonged idle or low speed running. Thermostats that don't allow the motor to reach the proper temperature can contribute to the weeping.
To be on the safe side, remove the bottom gearcase drain screw and inspect the oil for water intrusion. It will either drain some clear water or the whole gearcase will have a milkshake looking color to it.
