1990 Yamaha CV30ELD, electric start.


Replaced rectifier about 2 years ago (testing faulty on meter andblowing fuses, I assume short in the diode-epoxy contained rectifier)recently, same issue, replaced, test ran motor indriveway.....12.25 V or so output to battery, all seems fine....testran boat on water...fuse blows again...

wiring diagramshows rectifier 2 green leads to CDI magneto and red to fuse thenstarter relay....any ideas on this problem?? engine runs fineotherwise, spark to both plugs and pull starts fine w/o fuse (chargingcircuit) Thinking short to gnd somewhere....hate to pull start when Igot a perfectly disfunctional ignition key switch sittinthere...thinking next step is to pull flywheel and see what's goingon....thinking abraded wiring to CDI magneto????...

Any help appreciated....
