Default Yamaha 130 tilt

Looking for the tool to remove the cap on the hydroulic(sp) piston for the tilt motor. Anyone have any suggestions?

Default RE: Yamaha 130 tilt

Use a spanner wrench from ace hardware. I've also used a punch to tap it around before, but that's not so good for the aluminum cap. You can also make your own with 1/8" plate steel and some bolts. All these solutions are MUCH MUCH cheaper than buying the $200 tool from Yamaha.
