I got my boat out of storage over the weekend, the trim motor will not work. No problems with it last year, working fine when it was stored. I have power going to the switches and power comming off the relays going to the pump motor. Any suggestions on where to go from here, besides a service tech?

A very common cause is corrosion at the heavy duty wiring connector where the trim motor leads attach to the relay leads. Remove and clean the metal pins or sockets until they shine, and try again.

How did you test the power coming out of the relays?

If everything tests OK, then it's probably a bad, stuck, or corroded trim motor. Sometime a few light taps on the motor while someone activates the switch will free up a stuck brush. Do not hit too hard as the permanent magnets inside the motor shell can break and then the whole motor is ruined.
