Default Kicker/Fuel Line installation...

I am installing a kicker & plan to draw fuel from the second outflow on my yamaha fuel filter/water separator. Unless you have any better ideas... I need to find some good fuel shut off valves quickly in san antonio to switch between the main motor & the kicker. Any thoughts or suggestions????

The main motor is a 200 hp 97 yamaha SSII & the kicker is a 9.9 hp 1997 4 stroke...

Thanks in advance!!!

This plan is possible if you will use a brass and stainless ball valve to connect the kicker. Turn it on to run the kicker, off when you run the big motor. Use this opportunity to replace your old filter whith one of Yamaha's new 10 micron water separating fuel filters. About $50.
Thanks Mr. J

Thanks for the help... As for the filter, I think thats what I have. I know it is 10 micron & it separates the water from the fuel. Is there a newer one? I had it installed new last summer. By the way... how do I know when to change that filter or do I just pout it out every so often???

Thanks!!

DO NOT POUR IT OUT
It is possible for debris to pass to the filtered side. If your area gas is full of water change as often as 25 hours.
Thanks Mr. J

I dont have the glass type. It is the blue yamaha filter that looks like a cars oil filter...

How do I know when it has water?? Or how can I check it??

Thanks!!!
