Ive heard these things run forever as long as they are taken care of, but Im wondering if I should even be looking at a boat with roughly 1,200 hours on the motor?

The Honda 90 is a good motor but the word forever is a little extreme .It is a carb motor so its one of the simpler design which is good and has proven to be the best Honda built .The hours are not bad you could expect to double that .With that said exactly how long it will run will depend largely on how it was maintained, past and future.
